White House might be sans Emanuel shortly

There has been lots of speculation over the future of Emanuel. Rahm Emanuel, the fiery White House Chief of Staff, is likely going to quit his post. He isn’t abandoning to farm cabbages either. Rahm will probably run for Mayor of Chicago. The current mayor is finishing out his term and won’t seek reelection. When Daley announced his retirement, a lot of people thought of Rahm.

Rahm left quickly

Numerous have seen and heard the rumors about Rahm Emanuel leaving his position. He was expected to become part of the Chicago mayor election. It isn’t official that he is running yet. There were reports from D.C. saying otherwise. This would indicate he is running officially. The Washington Post has given its opinion on things. It expects the White House will announce what is going on quite soon. A press conference could be held where President Obama addresses the issue. There has been an announcement that there can be a press conference at the White House within the near future because of personnel changes, and this came from White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.

This can be a Daley thing to do

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley decided earlier this year not to seek reelection next year. After his current term expires, he will retire. According to the New York Times, Daley decided that the time was right to get out of it all behind. Everybody thinks his retirement can be the end of a dynasty. It can be the end of the Chicago dynasty that is expected. He has a father with his exact same name of Daley who was a Democratic mayor of Chicago for quite some time. From 1995 to 1976, Daley's father was the mayor. He wasn't willing to quit until he died in 1976. In 1989, Daley junior was elected to be the mayor. He has been in that position since then. The mayor of Chicago has been within the Daley family for a long time. In fact, it has been for 44 of the last 55 years.

Rahm wants to be mayor

Rahm Emanuel is known to have wanted the job for a while. Emanuel may be just the one for the job considering that Democrats have ruled the city forever.
