National Association for the Advancement of Colored People vs. Tea Party feud over supposed racial discrimination re-emerges in report

Expressions of racism at Tea Party rallies have inspired the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People to officially refute it once again. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People said last summer that the Tea Party is racist, and they’re repeating that argument in an official report. ”Tea Party Nationalism” is the title of an NAACP paper that states to offer evidence the movement tolerates the presence of white supremacists, bigots and other racists.

Tea Party Nationalism record

Ties between Tea Party factions and “acknowledged racist hate groups” were pointed out in the statement done by National Association for the Advancement of Colored People on Tea Party Nationalism. The NAACP Tea Party statement explains that it is not trying to cover up any allegation over the movement. A forward to the record by NAACP president Ben Jealous states that most Tea Party members are “sincere, principled people of goodwill.”. Next he points out that there are racist groups associated with the Tea Party that “should give all patriotic Americans pause.” This is what the Tea Party Nationalism shows.

Tea Party’s bad apples

Racial epithets about Obama were contained in Tea Party rallies. This is what the NAACP Tea Party report refers to. During a March 2010 protest against the health care bill, Tea Party National states there were incidents in which Tea Party members shouted racial slurs. Tea Party leaders were challenged by Jealous to denounce the protests that have racism in them. He also asked that they denounce links to the “birthers” who say Obama isn’t a United States citizen and also the racial discrimination within the protests.

NAACP Tea Party resolution identified

Last July there had been a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People convention where the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Tea Party feud began with a solution condemning the Tea Party for racial discrimination after a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People member vote. This started a huge media fight. The NAACP was called out by Tea Party Members who said they were racist. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Tea Party resolution had been a lot like Wednesday’s Tea Party Nationalism report in that is told the Tea Party leaders for making things better since there shouldn’t be racism within the Tea Party. The online network Tea Party Patriots admitted to racist behavior at Tea Party rallies however went on the record to say it would not be tolerated.
