Full internet access accessible for the new Sony Television

Depending on Google software, with Logitech hardware, the most recent Sony TV has been announced. The Television will be on sale within the next few weeks. A Logitech controller combines a remote with a Blackberry-like keyboard. Android and Chrome offer full app integration and expandability. Sony Google TV is going to come in two models — a fully integrated TV or a set-top Blue Ray DVD combination box.

Google and Sony with a mixed TV

Sony is saying it has found “the true internet TV revolution” with its partnerships with Google and with Logitech. Available as a TV ranging from 26 to 46 inches or as a BD deck set-top box, the Sony Google TV will cost between $399 and $1,399. The remote keyboard for the TV resembles a blackberry keyboard which is for two-thumb typing and is called the QWERTY keyboard.

How Sony TV has let Google in

Google products are part of the Sony TV in many different ways. First, the entire system is run on a version of Android. The Android Television may have apps developed for it as Google has made App development accessible. Internet browsing can be done on the Chrome browser that Google has put in the Sony TV. Finally, a custom Google search will search across DVR, Television, and web all at the exact same time. The Sony Television will provide unfettered access to the internet, rather than the limited access Apple TV offers.

The Sony Google TV has accessories added on

All the TVs, like the Apple Television, are different from the Google Sony Television due to the extra features. Movies and Shows with the Sony label could be released for the Sony/Google TV sets a bit early. Also, Logitech helped design the keyboard and remote. That is why it can be programmed to run most devices. Third, the PIP – page in page support – means you are able to check Twitter or Google Maps while watching Television — or any combination of apps that you are able to think of.

Best Purchase will start selling the Sony Google TV on Oct 24. It will be available in all four sets and the settop BD box. Pre-ordering will open Oct 13.
