There may be a brand new Barracuda on the way

People love muscle vehicles. The classic Barracuda may be the next to return. Domestic automakers have revived the retro style in certain automobiles, specifically in high-performance models. A lot of people would love to see the Barracuda return. There’s a hitch, of course. Plymouth hasn’t existed in nearly a decade.

The Barracuda comeback

Recently, the design head of the Chrysler organization and head of Dodge, Roger Gilles, went to the SEMA, or Specialty Equipment Market Association, trade show, as outlined by USA Today. Only people within the auto industry are able to show up to the event. He was asked about any new projects that were in the works, and he mentioned the Barracuda. He has been getting asked about it for a long time, and he seems to be significant about trying to bring it back. It is still a rumor though. It would not be a bad thing though if the Barracuda were to return. Other cars have gotten retro updates, such as the Ford Mustang and the Chevy Camaro. The Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger both returned successfully also. Barracuda had been made by Plymouth though. That business is long gone.

MOPAR muscle classics

The Barracuda made by Plymouth was fairly popular. This is true especially with the muscle cars that went around. Everyone loved Plymouth. This had been as the cars were cheap and performed well. It cost about $2,500 for the first generation sold from 1964 to 1966. You had the choice of getting a 6-cylinder or 273-cubic inch V8. The car then transformed to a 426-inch Hemi V8 in 1967. The Hemi 426 and 440 are both remembered for how powerful they are while one of one of the most valuable cars in the world right now are the rare HemiCuda convertibles. In 1974, production ended.

Plymouth was done

The Plymouth brand has been over for a while. Since 2001 it has been gone. The Barracuda would need to go under Dodge or Chrysler if it were brought back.
