Instead of using the canned soup, make the dish from scratch. It is something you are able to do the day before just to reheat. Not much is required. It’s the perfect match for a savory meal.

What to put in it

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Get one yellow onion that is big. Slice half of it and dice half of it
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, diced
  • Slice up a pound of cremini mushrooms
  • Put in 1 teaspoon salt
  • You'll also need 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • Get milk out. Pour 1 ½ cups of it
  • You'll need sour cream. Get 1 cup of it
  • 1 – 1 1/2 lb French-cut green beans
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • You can choose your oil between canola, corn or vegetable. Get ½ cup of that

How to make it

  1. You are able to do this in either a dutch oven or heavy-bottomed skillet. Heat butter at the bottom with medium heat.
  2. Next you will get to sauté the diced onions and garlic. Put the bell peppers in too.

  10. Put sliced onion with last tablespoon of flour. Heat oil in a heavy skillet until very hot.

  12. Put the green bean casserole in an over at 350 degrees. Bake if for 30 to 45 minutes. When you have too much stuff in the oven, you are able to just microwave it. Put it on medium high to do this.
